I am sick of the pairing issues with iPhone. Constantly not working. Tried many fixes but something very wrong with Garmin software.
Any suggestions??

I read the comments concerning pairing issues with the Iphone and I have to say I'm a bit baffled. I've had my 1030 paired with my Iphone for 14 months now with no problems. The guys I ride with have no problems. There must be some setting on the iphone that is causing problems for some users.
Do you keep Garmin Connect app opened or minimized so it runs in the background on you iPhone?
I start GCM before turning on the 1030. It takes about 10 seconds to connect. I then have it run in the background. I've also had the connection take place with GCM running in the background. I just tried doing that now and it connected fine. It should be noted that I have a Iphone 6 running on the latest version of IOS 12. I understand that IOS 13 does present connection problems which supposedly have been fixed in the latest Beta firmware.
Well I have a 10S with IOS 13.3. Prior to the 13.3 upgrade it was working fine but now I pair it easily but then the connection is lost within 24 hours. Frankly very good cycling computer but this phone pairing sucks. I have every update that is out there from Garmin. Frustrating indeed
Have you tried contacting Garmin support? They might be able to talk you through your problem. I just replaced my iPhone 6 with an iPhone 8. That meant I could use iOS 13 and up (the iPhone 6 cannot run iOS 13).
I saw a disconnect at first, but then I got my Edge 1030 and iPhone together, ran Garmin Connect on the iPhone, and I haven't had any problems since.
Thank you for your input. Last 2 days I opened Garmin Connect on the I Phone before turning on the 1030 leaving it open and so far all is good.
Yeah, it's obvious in retrospective that GCM needs to be on. I had the same issues and read the reminder about this. Insert sound of smack on side of head here.
