Edge 1030- is it possible to create 'sensor groups'??

Here's the scenario;

I get on my main road bike and have my Edge 1030 out front.

On this bike I have the following sensors attached to the 1030;

- Di2 (1)

- Varia Light (1)

- Speed Sensor (1)

- Stages Power Meter

- Heart Rate Monitor (1)

Then, when I get on my endurance bike, I put the 1030 and Varia Light on it and connect to;

- Di2 (2)

- Varia Light (1)

- Speed Sensor (2)

- Vector 3S Pedals

- Heart Rate Monitor (1)

Is there anyway I can just save the sensor setups and switch between them with one touch?

Rather than having to go through them individually?

Anyone else have the same issue?

I thought about leaving them all 'enabled', but drives my OCD mad.

  • Just leave them all connected and enabled and the 1030 will connect to whichever wakes up, which will happen when you move the bike (or change gear for Di2). I ride a few different bikes with different sensors and it isn't an issue, unless you lend your other bike to a friend and go for a ride with them (don't do it they'll only break it).

    And yes I'm saying the problem here is your OCD not the 1030 :-)

  • I'm not understanding the issue. Why do you go through them individually? The 1030 takes care of sensors automatically. I have three bikes and I never have to mess with the sensors.

    So there's no adverse effect on battery life of the 1030 from leaving all sensors enabled and having it search for them all every time?

  • Absolutely nothing you would ever notice. The sensor pool approach works very well in my opinion, activity profiles are no longer bound to particular bikes with particular sensors.
