climb pro issue

When climb pro is triggered I keep getting a black rectangle across the bottom of the screen which covers the bottom 2 data fields. It looks like a message popup warning box but it is blank.

I tried to screen capture this but the screen capture didn't seem to trigger

After some testing I think this might be happening if you ride a course and have a segment enabled on the same climb. I have tried disabling off course warnings and tun guidance but this didn't work. Disabling segments did seem to work for the short test I did presumably because I have a segment on the same climb. (Strava course, Garmin segment}

It should work with segments, but maybe something is messed up with the leaderboard for that segment,It will post a message if the VP completes the segment while you are still on the climb.

Could you provide the segment(s) from the segment folder on your Edge?

Was the course file created in Strava if you use Strava segments or Garmin Connect if you use Garmin segments?

The course is strava the segment is Garmin connect. The leaderboard seems ok , KOM,QOM and PR with PR selected. Segment file has been sent.

After some more testing I don't think segments is the problem.

If the course is Strava then it should not be executing Garmin Segments as the segments need to be embedded in the course file and Strava a course will contain Strava segments if any.

I looked at the 2 course files you sent me and they don't contain any embedded segments so I don't believe any were running.

Could it be the sharp bend warning if that was enabled?

After some extensive testing today it appears that this is not related to climb pro. It is a navigation issue when using a non-garmin OSM map with turn guidance enabled with navigation prompts set to text only.

The first 2 screen shots are when I changed to map notifications instead of text. I'm not sure what exactly happened on the first on but the 2nd one was a fairly common popup trying to tell me something about navigation but with instructions missing.

The bottom 2 screenshots are with navigation set to text only and with climb pro off. The black instruction was coming up on all screens including a garmin IQ one I have.

I can't remember exactly where I downloaded the OSM map from but I have modified the TYP file with it using TYPWIZ.

That shouldn't affect routing on the way the map looks.
