Planning a multi lap course on Edge 1030

Hi,

I'm doing a race which completes several laps of the same course - is there a way to create the lap route and then set the number of laps needed for the race distance on the Garmin or in connect when planning the route?

I have tried overlaying in the past and this is time consuming on not reliable. On the saved course summary screen the edge has a field titled 'Laps' so I expect the function to be possible some how?

No, there’s no way of doing that.

Here is what you can do

1. Create a one lap course. Turn TBT off

2. Activate auto lap on location and set set the lap point at the start is the course

You will see the course on the map and the edge will la will count the laps. You can even display that count.

There is that but you won’t get any navigation.

I wonder if you used BaseCamp and made a track around and around for all the laps. Drag it into the 1030 and then ride the track. If it will overlay it should Navigate from start to finish.

You could do that. But that’s what he wants to avoid.

I’ll have to try duplicating a loop and see if one can paste it a few times without BaseCamp freaking out.
