Turn guidance does not work anymore.

My turn guidance does not work anymore, while the setting in saved courses is ticked on. The course is displayed on my screen. Time and distance to destination does not count down. During (re)loading the course while biking distance to destination counts back until course is loaded 100% then it remains at the same value. Anyone knows how to solve this?

I had this on my 1000. I'm not at the device, so trying to go by memory here. But I found I had to go into courses and select the course and make sure navigation was set to ON (or something similar to that). Then worked fine. I struggled with this for weeks, and when I finally found the setting I felt like a goof. Would be nice to have better instructions or videos online by Garmin to go through the setup.

Do you see "calculating %" when you load the course?

Does it act like it thinks you haven't started?

Does it work sometimes?

There is a known issue with the turn guidance not starting (there are recent threads about it).

It kind of sounds like you are having the same issue.

You might be able to get it to work by forcing a reset

Hold the off button until the unit turns off.

You might need to start recording.

It's annoying to have to do that but it fixes the problem (for me).

I started another thread about this a while ago (TBT is broken), I have found a workaround. After loading your course and starting your ride, perform a hard reboot of your device (hold down power and keep it held down until the unit turns off and restarts). After it restarts the course will still be loaded. You'll need to push the start ride button again (ignore any prompts on screen to save or discard your ride).

Apparently, something is wrong and the TBT process stalls instread of starting to provide TBT directions. The forced reboot seems to get it going. That is what has worked for me.
