How do I deactivate cycling dynamics on Gramin 1030 when I no longer have Vector 3?

Hello,

until recently I owned Garmin Vector 3 pedals.

Now I do not have Vector 3, I have power meter on a crank, but Edge 1030 still records the dynamics of the cyclist - Left / Right pedal efficiency and L / R pedal smoothness.

These data are shown in my activity output on garmin connect which, of course, I do not want because they distort the result.

How do I deactivate cycling dynamics on Gramin 1030 when I no longer have Vector 3?

    Have you tried removing the sensor from the Edge ? Go to the sensor setting page, select the Vector and then remove.

    Another point to your question, I have a Stage single side power meter, I had it for years. I also get L/R smoothness and efficiency with only the L numbers populated with real numbers and 0 for the R numbers. It has always been like that. That's never been an issue to me.

    Hi,
    yes I have removed the sensor for vector3 before installing the new power meter

    I also have a one-sided performance meter "Stages"
    My brother has a one-sided performance meter "4iiii" and has no such problem.
    He never had the Vector3 pedals mounted.

    Torque Effectiveness and Pedal Smoothness are not cycling dynamic metrics and are delivered by many different power meters.

    You are seeing these values because the power meter you are using is transmitting them. Depending on the power meter software you may be able to switch them off under the sensor details on the Edge. Otherwise just remove those data fields from your training pages.

    But here it is written that "Left / Right pedal efficiency" is Cycling Dynamics value https://www.garmin.com/en-US/performance-data/cycling/#right-left-balance


    However, I do not have the option to turn off this value in the performance meter "Stages", as was the case with Vector3

    Please where exactly I can remove those data fields from my training pages connect.garmin.com

    From the page you referenced. 

    You cannot remove the data from the GC display, but you can remove that data from displaying on the Edge by just editing whatever data page currently shows them.

    Ok, you are right Left / Right pedal efficiency and L / R pedal smoothness is not there. Slight smile

    But I don't understand what you mean by removing it, because I don't have these data set on any data page on the Edge (Left / Right pedal efficiency and L / R pedal smoothness).

    Martin, After You are rotating your powermeter (Stages), go to the Edge sensor menu, and check the Stages submenus for toggle buttons (if the power meter is not active, there are no additional submenus ). Or check the Stages app on your mobile that these additional values has any toggle to enabled/disabled or not. For example, the Power2Max NG series has an app where you can enable/disable these plus features. (only power or +balance, +pedal smoothness, + torque /ok, it is different than Torque Efficiency/)

    these values may not be enabled or disabled via the Stages app.
