Powermeters on BLE-protocol only. No ANT+ connection

For a few weeks I've had problems with connecting my Assioma Duo pedal set to my 1030 via ANT+. BLE is usually sucessful. I thought it could be related to new Assioma firmware, so I have reset both units. However, today I went for a ride on my bike#2. This has the Vector 2 pedal installed.

Exactly the same happens when I try to connect to my Vector 2 pedal set. The 1030 recognize the pedals, I'm able to connect, but they are refused/disconnected without any prompts a few seconds later. Obviously the Vector 2 isn't BLE capable, so I haven't tried connecting it in any other way.

Are there any files perhaps which can reveal why my 1030 rejects powermeters via ANT+? Both sets have fully charges batteries.

Managed to connect both powermeters to my Edge 1030 after pairing them with my vintage 910XT which accepted them both without any fuzz.

SOLVED! Received replacement unit from Garmin (screen also had halo). New unit work flawlesly when just out of box. After adding a few fields and a few apps problem was back. That is, no power meter reception on ANT+ only BLE.

Troubleshooting after a test ride and deleted all 3rd party IQ apps. Voila... Powermeters can be tuned using ANT+

  • what kind of 3rd party IQ apps?

I could use ANT+ connection if I at the same time connected another ANT+ device (FR910XT), however without this, the powermeter would disconnect quickly.
