Edge 1030 Strava Live segments missing "Last" and "Recent best" efforts on the leaderboard page

Just purchased an Edge 1030 ver 7.50 and noticed my Strava segments are missing both the "Last" and "Recent best" efforts on the leaderboard page. (Strava Summit account)

I have synced with both Garmin Express and Garmin Connect (iPhone), have done a device reset several times, reconnected Strava with Garmin Connect several times, synced Garmin Express with two different computers, reinstalled Garmin Connect in my iPhone. etc. and sometimes one or two segments display these leaderboard values but then next time I reset the unit they disappear again.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    please, if you find a solution, write it there!!! got the same issue and no solutions from garmin

  • Do you have a paid Strava account ? I don't think Strava keeps your segment times if you are not a paid user but I didn't verify this. They changed their policy last summer.

  • yes i was premium before and summit now. it worked fine until autumn of 2018, after then, a mess. usually doesn't work, sometimes it does (sometimes means a couple of hill, a couple of time in a year)

  • its a bug , in segment list , there is an recent best , but there is no option to select it 

  • i see no one give a *** on garmin end, correct?

  • This is a user forum. Contact garmin support to ear from them. 

  • they don't care. they link useless pages of faq answering to other issues. i've seen some garmin staff over here sometimes, but never in this thread or in the other with the same issue.

  • Garmin staff sometimes post on forums put they should not be expected to. To reach them contact Garmin Support. These pages are a user forum where user than help each other. Complaining about Garmin won't help anybody..

    To the issue at hand, have you tried mounting the Edge to your computer, opening the segments folder and deleting all the files there so to force the Edge to do a fresh download ? You also made sure to have your account setup for Strave Segments and not the Garmin Segments ? Finally on the Edge there is a setting to select what you want to race - the KOM or PR but I forgot where the setting is, I just changed it a long time ago. Finally note that for a few yeast Strava have started to reset the segment times every year so that also create some confusion - there are annual KOM and all time KOM statistics, as well as annual PR and all time PR. This is on the Strava side of things and I don t know what they push to the Edge. 

  • thanks but allready tested all and not referring to kom or pr but "last" or "recent best". and i setted them to be the first two default result to show up. made several master reset. cancelled the old strava account and created a new one (same with garmin connect). no way, after autumn 2018 it stopped work (i was strava premium before and strava summit now. in garmin connect are selected strava segments and they link to the correct segments with correct last and recent best, but this data don't go into the edge).

    i even tryed with different phones with garmin connect. no way. seeing i'm not the only one make me think several users need "last" or "recent best" but garmin screwed it up with some firmware update (usually they solve one problem and create two new worse problems), but they don't answer. italian assistance has no idea what i'm talking about, no one of them has got the device, so they don't even understand how to switch it on...i don't know how to contact the english support.
