powerdrops with a 4iiii podiiiium powermeter

Never had this problem with my "old EDGE1000".

No I am using a EGDE1030, and i have power&cadans drops while i am riding.

the drops are mostly 10 sec ore less.

Have anyone a solution for this?

Using the latest Updates from 4iiii and garmin.

Please keep us updated. I'm having the SAME exact issues with my Podiiiium on my Garmin 530 as well. I'm getting 10 secs power dropped out every 10-15 mins or so. This is super annoying during racing or hard effort. I wish I still have my Garmin 510 so I can test out if this is a Garmin issue or 4iiii. I'm on the latest firmware update for both, and I'm pretty close to toss this pm to the trash...smh

They swapped out my Podiiium for a Precision. It works flawlessly now. I don't know if Podiiiums have a design flaw or mine was a one off. But given the chance to change, I like the Precision design better. First, the coin battery lasts almost twice as long. Second, they use a weird USB interface - not a standard. So you misplace that one USB cable and you are out of luck.

Are there any updates regarding this issue? Is it confirmed as a Garmin issue (vs. 4iiii)? I have a 520+ and 4iiii Left-Side Podiiiium Powermeter and regularly see powerdrops. Very frustrating and I'd love to learn the root cause / solution. Thanks for any updates you can provide.

I got a free replacement of the 4iiii crank PM. Switched from rechargeable to coin battery type. No drops now. So clearly a 4iiii issue

4iii confirmed that this is their issues. You will have to send yours back and get a replacement. Took over month for them to send it back. I ended up selling the replacement pm and upgraded to favero assioma duo. Never buy another 4iii again.

I'm really happy with my replaced 4iiii crank based power meter. They took off the Podiiiium rechargeable one that was dropping out, and replaced it (my choice) with the Precision coin battery one. The Precision one lasts about twice as long (100 hrs -vs- 60 hrs). Great customer support.
