Strava Live Segments on 1030 pages "last" and "recent best" no more avaible.

I can't see two pages ("last" and "recent best") that are the only important pages to me. I have summit and theese pages were working until 3/4 months ago. Edge 1030 version is 7.50 now and the previus one until two days ago. I didn't change anything in strava account nor in edge 1030 device. thanks

    Ongoing, continuing to escalate through both Garmin and Strava. For the record, here's the feedback and actions I've taken to date (in chronological order) - but its still not working.

    Garmin

    Product Support Response 1:  Please also ensure your Strava subscription is still active.

    Didnt fix the issue.

    I followed it to the tee (about the third time). Didn't fix the issue.

    Help Centre Response: 

    Can you please try disconnecting then reconnecting your Strava and Garmin Connect accounts? I would suggest following these directions on a computer.

    Disconnect Strava & Garmin:

    1. On Strava
    • log into your account on strava.com
    • Navigate to your settings page (https://www.strava.com/settings/profile) and locate your 'Social Connections' on the right side of the page:

    • Locate Garmin (the top Social Connection) and click 'Disconnect'
    • A popup will ask you to confirm if you would like to disconnect; answer yes.
    • If successful, green banner will appear "Successfully disconnected from Garmin. Syncing will stop."

    2. On Garmin

    • log into your account on https://connect.garmin.com/modern/
    • Navigate to the Profile/Settings under the right account icon. (if you have an account profile picture it will be your picture, otherwise it will be the generic Garmin Runner icon)

    • Select Settings / Account Information https://connect.garmin.com/modern/settings/accountInformation
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page under 'Applications'
    • 'Remove Permission' from Strava
    • Strava will be removed from the 'Applications' list


    Reconnect Strava & Garmin


    Before doing all of this, I did a full reset on my 1030 (Delete Data and Reset Settings). Then went through the full procedure above. I've done two rides since, and neither worked for the Last  or Recent Best.

    Anyhow, I've escalated back to both Garmin and Strava and will update this thread as it develops.

    So it appears to have fixed, but I’m a bit puzzled why. Anyhow, 2 actions I did since last post (working through Strava spt):

    1 - made a bunch of my recent rides‘ privacy set to ‘everyone can see’. I did rides after that and it still wasn’t working, but maybe they don’t reset straight away?

    2 - I did a sync tonight as normal using my iPhone. But for the first time in a while, Im away and don’t have wifi. They now seem to be there! Not sure what this means - does wifi interfere with the sync? Anyhow, my Garmin 1030 shows under strava segments Last and Recent Best for all my starred segments

    will test this week but fingers crossed!

  • I also try to fix thi issue:

    - factory reset

    - disconnect Strava following garmin help center

    - make a new ride and sync NOT via wifi

     The only thing I'm sure is that Garmin software is a nightmare, hope to see something best from competitor.  I think that 99% of the garmin user use live segment to race againts himself, so why do not try to make this function up and running ha expected from a 399€ gps unit

    Update from my above posts - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't - I haven't been able to isolate why.

    I sync using Garmin Connect Mobile on my iPhone 8. Have spent months with strava trying to fix it, and they gave up and advised me to take it to Garmin as an issue. I was concurrently taking it up with Garmin who just stopped responding to me.

    So occasionally on a ride it all comes up and works well, but most of the time it doesn't. 

  • I did not use segments for a while, but last week I did some climbing and hunting for some PR

    downgraded from 9.50 to 9.34 beta 

    I have starred some segments, when I approach to one of them, garmin is prompting that the segments starts in x meters but afterthat nothing, is like screen freeze,  km remains the same, nothing with ahead or behind

  • sure? why? I always sync via Garmin Connect Mobile but for some strange reasons some segments has my last run (2 or 3 of 50) but all others has lost my last run so I always has to compete against my PR... not so easy

  • same here. visto il nome, sei per caso italiano? hai provato con l'assistenza italiana? io tutte le volte ci perdo la testa, non ci capisce mai niente nessuno.

  • The question is why Garmin decide to let customer the possibility to post into a Support Forum and there is any answer form Garmin. This is more or less 1 year old issue  

  • in my case the issue started 2 years ago. english support gave my email to italian support that wrote me back "we have no idea what are you talkin about, call us on the phone where there's another guy who doesn't understand the issue, but call center is open only 4 hours per day, during office time, so it's more difficult for customers to complain".

  • It is a user forum and it is very useful. Garmin facilitate it. If you want to reach out directly to Garmin that is called Support and there are many ways to get there
