When mine connects to the Varia rear light, I think the change in the widget is that it has options for the light on the very top of the widget screen. I could be wrong and the options may have always been there but it is the first time I have seen them.
Untile the Edge 830/530 Garmin don't tell us, that this is a Widget. With Edge 530/830 you see the Light Widget in Garmin Express. And on the Edge 530/830 you can enable/disable the Light, Weather and some other Garmin-Widgets .
