Anyone had issues with a corrupt fit file on Edge 1030?

I just completed a four day ride and have one activity that will not open on my 1030 to show route and summary info etc and also will not sync to Garmin Connect. When I try to import the fit file manually it states it is not a valid file type and when I try to use a "free" repair solution then I get a similar error message - leading me to think the file got corrupted somehow....

when you do not mind you can zip the fit file and upload it here in the forum so we can have a look at it

fit file had missing file length in file header at the start of the file

and missing checksum at end of the file

every other data is original

also contact Garmin Support and tell them about your mishap

I will do that and many thanks for sorting that out for me, I really appreciate it...........I think there were a few good Strava segments in there ;-)

Yes, only once, I think that if you go through the sequence of saving your ride too quickly it increases the likelihood of problems. You should allow the unit to sit for about a minute after saving before you push the power button to send it to sleep.

Agreed Rob. In fact I now wait until I've had Connect and Strava confirm the ride has been uploaded before shutting the unit down.
