Trouble with extremely long course files. Have tried .FIT .TCX and .GPX. All crash the device.

I am working to put this course file onto my 1030 running v7.30 of the firmware:

the route has 930 turns according to the .CSV version of the route. The course is extremely long at 5000km plus.

Been banging my head on this one for a bit, so any advice would be welcome.

You may need to split it up into multiple courses.

The Edges are fairly limited computers (limited power and and limited memory) to be as small as they are and still have a long run battery life.

Even if it could handle it, it would take an hour or more to calculate it!

It isn't exactly reasonable to expect them to handle such long routes.

Split it up.

In any case, if you needed to restart the route while riding, such a long route would make doing that impractical.
