WhatsApp Messages from Garmin Edge 1030

I have some strage issue with WhatsApp notifications on Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with connect Garmin app installed (and eventually properly configured)

Everything is configured properly on my side to receive those messages and I'm receiving them, all WhatsApp messages, while riding. The issue is to answer to some of the messages comming from some specific groups.

One to One conversation, I 'm able to answer with Garmin "canned" messages, which is fine.

Group conversations is behaving oddly. Some groups I can answer those canned messages without issue whether comming from some others groups I can not answer them. I just receive the message but I can not answer them, there is no option to do it (it appears the message I receive it but without the icon to push to answer one of the canned messages the one with ">" to push and then select the canned message).

Is anything that should be configured on my side to be able to do it based on groups? I just cheched and I'm not administratior in any of those WhatsApp groups, so it does not have any sense that for some yes and for some others not..

@Garmin, Can you have a look to see why it not possible to answer some groups or people within WhatsAppp? I do not know where this "bug" is comming from, Garmin Connect Mobile or the Garmin Edge 1030, if it is based on the group name, the characters on those messages, etc... but for sure there is a bug.

    I think I have a solution.

    It seems that if in Whatsapp Group name there is a Smile or any other  Emoticon that broke the ability to answer from Garmin edge I think Garming should have to look at this bug within code as it seems very usual and allowed by WhatsApp..

    I changed the whatsapp group name, removing the emoticon and then everything seems fine now. I'll  follow up this issue during the next days.

    Amazing what you expect from Garmin. Of course, this is not a bug, but rather a nonsensical user behavior to mix emoticons with names...
    But good that you found out.

    It seems a stupid thing, but I ensure you that for me it is not.

    We have bike group and after a post I see to modify canned messages and the ability to answer them me it very usefull for : 1) not stopping and 2) taking the phone out to answer.....

    I'd just like the modification of canned messages come as a standard by Garmin (in device properties) for example.

    Of course, whatsapp messages and the ability to reply make sense!

    I just said it was childish to use emojis in the group name.
