Can someone please fix my fit file. Garmin 1030 froze up while saving the ride. I was unable to upload it to Straa or Garmin Connect. This was my 9th ride with the garmin and I am not sure I made a good purchase! Thanks
How many completed and uploaded activities have you still got on your device? If it's any more than a months worth then look to archive the older ones off to folder on your computer.
Otherwise, a factory reset may also be in order to correct the issue - make sure you google what files to save before doing a factory reset.
How can I check what happen in one activity ? I record indoor activities with Ipad and Garmin Edge 1030 in the same time (power meter BT and Ant+ in the same time)
In Garmin connect I have 3 intervals (activity recorded with Edge 1030 ) but in Traineroad I have 4 intervals (activity recorded with Ipad)
krazyeone - you Garmin file has no data recorded between 33min16sec and 58min16sec which seems to coincide with your missing third interval. I would hazard a guess that you stopped/paused the recording instead of hitting the lap button.
A friend of mine is trying to upload a file from her Garmin, but is advised that “The upload appears to be malformed and we are unable to process it”. I’ve tried to use some online fit file tools, but don’t appear to be able to sort the issue. Are you able to assist please?
Hi, I did one of my best rides on the weekend (180km), tried to upload but strava said it was malformed. So upsetting! I have tried fit file tool fix, online garmin repair tool, golden cheetah and a couple of others without any success. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
It shows on Garmin in activities as the correct distance.
Josh167 - there is only 4km worth of data contained in that file. This file contains what was in there.
How many completed and uploaded activities are still on your device? If it's anymore than a months worth then it's time to consider archiving the older ones off to a folder on your computer. It looks like you may have run out of storage room when your device tried to write the data to the file.
kiwimtnbkr Thanks so much for even getting it to that stage. I appreciate you trying and will take onboard that tip. I have not ever taken files off and foldered them. Will do it regularly from now on, especially before big rides!
