I'm having an issue where, when charging, my 1030 shuts itself off before reaching full charge. I've tried multiple chargers and cables, doing a soft reset and nothing seems to be helping. Sometimes it doesn't do it and will show 100% on the charge screen like every other Garmin I've had but recently about 75% of the time it seems to auto power down before reaching full charge. The unit is new as of this January and I'm running FW 7.30 but it has been doing it with previous versions. I'm open to suggestions as this is getting frustrating.
What is the issue ? I am used tu always turn off my edge when charging. The battery is still charging when the unit is turned off. Yours is not reaching 100% even when it shuts down ?
The issue is stated in my first post. The 1030 is off, I plug it in to charge and it loads the charging screen and starts charging, at some point, it powers itself off before the charge is complete. For instance, my 520 will stay on the charging screen indefinitely even after it reaches 100%, the 1030 shuts down and doesn't always complete charging.
In my garmin, exactly the same happens, although I think it goes out when it approaches 100%. I have been able to check it with two units and the two behave the same
