Prompted timer start not working

The activity profiles I use both have Timer start mode set to prompted, with a start notice speed of 9.66kph (no idea where that speed value came from, I didn't set it). Anyway, the problem is that I get no prompt to start the timer when I set off, even though the 1030 says GPS ready and, according to the speed field on the 1030, I'm exceeding 9.66kph.

The 1030 is running 7.30 FW, and I performed a device reset when I upgraded to that FW.
  • I also have no idea why the default value is 9.66 km/h, whereas the minimum value is 10 km/h. So change the default value to >=10 km/h.
  • maybe is a bug somewhere in settings , I think that value has something to do with Miles and Km/h

With a beta version I had something similar, although speed was in KM/H in settings , speed field was in miles :)

Actually was very funny , I did not had Speed field on main display, I added in the middle of the ride, I was pushing against the wind and asking a friend why we have 24 km /h , but actually we where somewhere at 40 km/h :)
I enter in settings set from KM/h in Miles ,and again in KM/h and speed field was fixed

I also have no idea why the default value is 9.66 km/h, whereas the minimum value is 10 km/h. So change the default value to >=10 km/h.

I went into the 1030 settings and and changed the start notice speed to 10kph for both activity profiles. Makes no difference - I still get no prompt to start the timer when my speed exceeds 10kph.
  • When you go to your Profile-page (Name, Color etc...) an you scroll down to Timerstartmode, you can see „choice“ or „selection 10km/h“?
If so - it would be strange...

    Today I will test it.

The Timer Start Mode is presently set to "Prompted: 10.00km/h". If I tap on Timer Start Mode, the options are Manual, Prompted, or Auto. Prompted is obviously not working as it should. It works fine on my old 1000, which my wife is now using.
  • I have set my Edge to German language - so there was some mistake in naming the option.
    (Manuell, Auswahl, Automatisch)
    I did a test today:
    Timerstartmode: Prompted 10 km/h
At about 11 km/h my Edge beeped and a blue Start/Pause-sign was shown in the middle of the screen.
So, my Edge works as it should.
    It‘s weird...
