My 1030 connects with my heart rate strap and speed and cadence sensors without me doing anything. A guy I ride with has had a issue with his speed and cadence sensors not connecting unless he selects sensors and then connect. His heart monitor has no problem connecting. We have tried several times to remove the sensors and then searching and pairing them again with no change. What could be causing this problem. Everything else is working fine on the computer including pairing with the phone.
I had exactly the same issue, & started a thread: Cadence sensors not displaying on 1030' G recognise this is a problem. Its supposed to be fixed on FW 7.22 & presumably 7.30
Apparently this has not been fixed. Bought a 1030 to replace an 800 2 weeks ago. The heart rate monitor and cadence will not connect. New batteries did not help.
I'm the original poster. The 1030 that was having sensor connection problems was faulty and Garmin replaced it. The replacement is working fine with no sensor problems. My 1030 also continues to work fine. Since yours is only two weeks old, I suggest returning it for another one. Also make sure you follow the Garmin instructions for pairing. I've seen several where the wrong option was selected for the cadence.
Hi everyone, cannot have the speed sensor working on my 1030, changed the battery twice. Cannot pair the speed sensor even following the procedures, Ant+ cannot see the sensor and when trying Bluetooth, it sees cadence/speed as one sensor but the speed meter does not work. I would think it is a firmware issue.
