I've had this problem for a while with my Edge 1030 + Wahoo heart rate monitor. In the beginning of a new activity the heart rate measurement works just fine. But every single time I have a break and put my Edge to sleep, the heart rate freezes. When I continue cycling after a coffee break, the heart rate measurement does not work at all. Attached is a FIT file as an example. I disabled the heart rate sensor, did not help. I removed the heart rate sensor, did not help. Edge shows constant heart rate of 107 bpm after my break. Software version 7.2, had this problem also with the previous version 7.0. Any solutions?
Your HR-monitor is connected via Bluetooth. Connect your Wahoo-HR-belt via ANT+ and your problem will be solved!

I also got this problem with a polar band, by what I could see is related with the reconnection of the device. In my case with 7.00 when I went away or suspend the device then it won´t recconect and the pulse got freezed, but with 7.20, at least for me, the problem when I go far from the computer, and back again is solved, and the band reconnect again and resume the measure without an issue, I did not check yet if you suspend the device it then reconnect without freeze the measure from the band.
The quick fix is what relate the guy from above, but if you might have more devices with bluetooth you will face the same problem ( I Posted some days ago the same problem but no one answered). And what is not meant to be is that if the device is suitable for both protocols, if one fail you switch to the other and do not complain about the failure.
PFaust - If you rescan for the HRM (Swipe down to access widget loop>Press Arrow Icon in the sensors list), will it connect with the Edge over BLE after your break?
