Can’t send courses to 1030: not compatible?!?

Hi, suddenly I’ve got a problem sending courses to my 1030 (firmware 7.00) from Garmin Connect Mobile app for iOS.
As you can see from the screenshot the GCM app says that the 1030 is not compatible?!?
How is this possible? Do you have some solution to this?

If I connect the 1030 to a Computer is stilll possible to transfer courses, but it’s a pain to do like that... ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1451237.png
  • I had this before. I don't remember for sure but I think the issue was that BT or BLE was not connected. The Edge makes two connections with the phone. It normally setup both during the paring process and you don't normally have to thing about it. If you look in your iPhone Bluetooth settings you should see both connections. For me one is called "Edge 1030" and the other "BT_Edge 1030". Hope this helps.
  • Another option I just thought about - could it be that you already reached the 100 courses limit of the Edge. You cannot load more that this. I don't quite recall what happen when you do, I think it just does not show the extra courses without an error message but this was a long time ago.
  • Thanks for your answer. I had the same doubt and In fact only BT was connected, but when I connected BTLE, nothing changed.
    In the app the 1030 remains “not compatible” in receiving courses!!
    I tried do disconnect and reconnect many times, reboot the edge and the iPhone, delete and reinstall the app, but nothing changes.
    ...and this is my second edge 1030 because the first one was stolen so I know It can be done...

    This thing is getting me crazy!

    Same here, I have a case open with Garmin support but did not hear from them regarding a solution...
  • Same trouble here too, it had worked since December and suddenly stopped working with one of the latest updates (GC app or firmware...).
    It's going to make me crazy, the only way I found is to start transfert from the website. It finally be transferred after some minutes if the 1030 is connected on a Wifi.
  • FYI I just called the Garmin support (France), the guy told me that it should be fixed with -one of- the next GC App updates ..

  • I don't know what can to be fixed in the app. I can transfer courses from my Iphone with no problems. I know of others who also have no problem transferring courses. There must be something else going on with your phone and GCM.
  • I know but tried everything on my own before posting there... uninstalled/installed GC app, unpaired/paired again the 1030.
    I facing the same trouble than the screenshot posted initially in this topic, and at this time no way to fix it, neither a begin of investigation.
