can't reconnect my iPhone XS Max and Edge 1030

Getting very frustrated here. I had my 1030 and iPhone paired no problem. I had to sign out of Garmin connect and sign back in again (to try and get Apple health working - didn't work) and it then asked me to add a device. Ever since then, I've been completely unable to get it paired again. Sometimes it gets as far as "completing set up of your Edge 1030", but the bar only ever gets to half way, and then it always says Bluetooth setup failed. If I then go to the Bluetooth settings on my phone, it shows both edge 1030 items as connected, but Garmon Connect says attention required, and the actual edge won't let me do anything that requires a phone, even though it shows the phone as connected!!!! Aaargh!!! I wish I'd never signed out!!!

Remove Garmin Connect from your phone and start all over again. Or accept that the Edge 1030 is a buggy BLE device. I got a replacement because of the halo issue and I did the voodoo voodoo pairing procedure and it works again but as soon as it stops working, like my replaced 1030 I will disconnect it from my phone and switch to wifi for auto uploading my rides. I can't be bothered by the hassle it takes to keep it connected to my phone. I don't miss anything.

I've removed it and tried starting over several times. Same result over and over again!
