Firmware 7.0 and cycling dynamics

I have powertap P1 pedals. Any news for using cycling dynamics function? Assioma or others companys have this function implemented with garmin?
  • You would need to contact Powertap on that. Currently they don't send that data.
  • Does anybody know if Quarq PM shows now data on Cycling Dynamics?
  • No, is the short answer. They don't support it.
  • Maybe could be interesting to have a list of Power Meters that supports Cycling Dynamics function available with Firmware 7.0 update. I have Specialized Venge with bult in specialized (4iii) Power meter and no cycling dynamics avalability since now, hope to have with next power meeter software upgrade
  • The only units that I know of currently are pedal based systems, Vector (dual sided) and the Favero Assioma dual sided. Not sure if Assioma have released their updated software yet, but the did announce support for cycling dynamics. [h=1][/h]

Hi, I have recently changed my garmin 1000 with 1030, and my assioma duo is showing some info on the cycling dynamics screen, like instant power from each pedal, but other like platform offset doesn't show. I think some info is exclusive for the vector 3 pedals, and other brands don't have that kind of sensors. My edge has the last firmware v7, and my assioma duo has v3.0.
  • Cycling dynamics is now part of the ANT+ Cycling power specification so any Vendor could support it, provided they have the ability to measure and compute this data. Assioma have announced that they will be supporting it, but they may not have made the required software changes public yet. This question would be better addressed to them.
