Check that the port for the barometer sensor is is not covered or blocked. It is on the back of the unit and is the 2 small holes on the upper left of the black section. If the problem still persists then contact Garmin Support as the sensor may be broken.
Hi both hole are not blocked so need to get in contract as mine has the halo as well
Off topic, but out of curiosity, how long have you had your 1030, and how many rides / hours have you used it? I had 761 rides on my 1000 before the power switch cover failed. I had 243 rides in about one year on my original 1030 before replacing it for the halo problem. I have 59 rides on the replacement 1030, and so far, no sign of the halo.
