New Public Beta 6.46 Now Available

A new Beta software for the Edge 1030 has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found here.
  • For any issues that you encounter please fill out the form included in the download and attach it to an email to [email protected]. Please note that you may not get a response to the email unless we need more information on the issue you report.
  • Although this software is believed to be reliable, it has not yet been released for production and should be used at your own risk.
[h=4]Changes made from version 6.45 to 6.46:[/h]
  • Fixed several crashes that could occur while riding with a power meter.
  • Fixed segment updates.
  • Fixed issue where the GPS data field did not match the GPS indicated by the status bar.
[h=2]Installation Instructions[/h]
  • Connect your Edge 1030 device to your computer using the micro-USB cable.
  • Download and unzip Edge1030_646Beta.zip and place the GUPDATE.gcd file in the \Garmin folder of your device's internal storage drive.
  • Disconnect your device from the computer, approve the update on the Edge, and wait for the update to finish.
  • If you would like to revert to the last public release software, follow the above steps but place the GUPDATE-630.GCD file in the \Garmin folder. Rename the file to GUPDATE.GCD before disconnecting your device.
    NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.

    Thanks I will try out this new beta version. Is there any plans to address with the issue of Live Tracking not working?

    Maybe I missunderstood that change - I thought, the issue of difference in showing the GPS-reception-bars and the GPS-accuracy-datafield was fixed.
    But: NO!

    On every GPS-stregth the GPS-accuracy is 3 m (a bug since the first days of Edge 1030!)
    accuracy = Genauigkeit (in German)

    I think it is talking about the GPS data field bar values and the bar values shown on the status page. They were not always in agreement. Now the number of bars should match when viewed on the status page and when view in the GPS bar data field.

    With so many good CIQ Apps in the store now and the Edges ability to have loads in each activity profile can you please increase the number of CIQ slots available on the Edge from a paltry 16?

    Is there any chance you could fix the sharp bend warnings being displayed despite them being disabled in the activity profile? It can't be that difficult to code.

    Seems to still have the suspend/resume battery level issue where the battery level stays at 100% unless the device is power cycled. It can also have the really weird behaviour where the battery level gradually rises to 100% even when not charging

    +1 For wanting the battery level to say how much battery is left and not be stuck on 100% when using suspend/resume

    In this case in Heat Rate field from Data screen 1, is nothing displayed (correct )

    But in Data Screen 2 , Graphical HR field has an residual value (1 bpm in this case)
    PS : there is no hr belt connected to the Garmin in this moment

    2.Same Graphical HR field is displaying 255 BPM if Garmin Heart Rate Belt is connected to 1030 but for some reason does not make the contact with the skin

    Second question

    Why in ftp configuration therea are 7 zones ,
    but in History , rides, Time in zones , are displayed 9 zones instead of 7 >?
