Map & TBT display Issue

I got my Edge 1030 about 2 weeks ago and update the firmware, software and map to the latest versions (no betas). I tested out a TCX route today that I created on RideWithGPS. I have the data screen set up for 10 fields. Text displays on the data screen at 0.1 miles and then again around 150ft before the turns. The MAP, however, does not display as I think it should as I've read in some posts. What am I missing here, what did I forget to enable to have the MAP with the TBT display during the turns and then return to the data screen? My Garmin Edge 800 use to work like this and the 1030 apparently does also. Tanks for your help in advance

I think you have Navigation prompts set for text instead of map.

So I have read the manual over and over and I can't find where to find the "Navigation prompts", can you please help me identify where this option is?. The course is properly displayed on the MAP. I just can't get the map to pop up when a turn is coming up.

1) Goto the settings of your activity-profile
(from the home-screen:
a) long press onto the name of the profile - or:
b) pull-down-menu -> profile)

2) scroll down to "Navigation" - tap
3) 3rd line - Navigation Message: chose text or map
