I updated this afternoon and I still have no canned replies. I can see sms incoming but no access to replies.
Also, repairing took about 20 minutes

On a positive note, with Galileo activated the satellite acquisition time seems super quick, caveat in Australia and not a cold start. I'll see how it goes in the morning
  • What Phone and what OS do you have?

    I have Motorola G5 with Andorid 8.1
If I am using default SMS I don't have option for canned replies, android asked me to changed SMS default app ( I think from FB messenger to Messages ) , after that, I had the option for send replies

My problem is that after I receive an SMS or phone call , that notification pop-up disappear almost instantaneous, indeed after phone miss call, another pop-up with missing phone , but also that disappear after 2-3 sec , I think for SMS and Phone miss call they should stay until screen tap or dismiss on by clicking on that message

Also this beta solved another issue with Motorola G5 phone, with the latest live FW after an missed call, in notification screen I had Unknown number, now the numbers are displayed correctly in that screen

My phone is a Xiaomi Redmi note 4 Android 7.0

I use the default sms. I noticed this morning that my garmin had disabled my phone upon start up. I re-enabled and it has remained connected.
I enabled social media on my garmin and I had 7 messages there. Enabling other showed another 6 messages including strava kudos, GC notifications and notifications for files I had downloaded to my phone. Clearing all the notifications on my phones home screen cleared all of this.

The Galileo update seems to have improved satellite reception enourmously.

However when I ride a segment and zoom in on the map, if i change pages and change back the zoom is lost.

Yes, I see the same speed-up in GPS position acquisition with GPS+Galileo vs GPS+Glonass. With Galileo selected, I get GPS lock within a second or two of the home screen appearing on boot-up, whereas GPS+Glonass usually takes 15-20 seconds to get a lock. I'm also in Australia.
  • Belgium here, can confirm Galileo is superfast lock! Good job Garmin!

Whatsapp messages also come true and I can respond to them with the edge.

Is it possible to add some extra features to the audio prompting please? I really would like to see that the Varia notifications can come true the headset while cycling.

Mixed bag so far. Heart rate zones a nonsense I'll have to reset that. Cadence sensors have been flawless, but the last few updates have left me needing to manually connect. Total pain in the arse today with this absolutely useless machine's failure to work with gloves. So I have to stop, remove gloves(flawless with edge 1000), manually detect sensor and get the unit back to where it was and finally get moving again. Behind time I reach the rendezvous point 3 minutes late (we know where they went don't we). I stop, steadily not abruptly and off goes the incident detection with a message saying 'contact lost' whilst displaying my emergency contact numbers. Panic sets in because I don't want them worrying for nothing. In a blind panic I forget about removing gloves to press the cancellation area of screen, but pushing the ride button seemed to override that alarm. 2 things, was that my imagination or does the ride button put and end to the incident detected status?. WTF was that contact lost message? The phone is in my back pocket, I'm not under trees and Vodafone coverage is excellent everywhere around here.
This machine never fails to find new ways to disappoint. Having said that, my ride did actually upload without any action or cable connections on my part, but that has happened temporarily before so a rare plus but undoubtedly one that'll soon be lost.
  • Notifications wokk well, but i can’t see GALILEO...
  • If you can‘t seeing GALILEO, the new GPS-software was not updated.
Connect your Edge to your PC/Mac and see if it will download.
If not - see answer #22:

    Tks
  • new notifications work great, but I hope we will get check boxes for different social media. I personally wold not want to be bothered with Facebook and strava thumps up. I rather would only select WhatsApp and normal SMS and messenger. all other should be removed in my point of view as we are still cycling on the road and should not be distracted. Only reason why I would like the WhatsApp is that I am reachable for important messages not for social network. So what should I enable to get only messenger and WhatsApp? P.s my Galileo is reachable and I very fast :) thanks, Stefan

On GC mobile you can disable the ones you do not like.
