I have a problem with strava segments. Everything works perfect until I reach the end of the segment. Then, I get the usual summary with the time spent and when it disappears, the segment remains active even if it has already been left behind. until I manually cancel the segment, it is active there. Any solution?
+1 I don't believe the vast array of problems afflicting almost all 1030 owners can be fixed by garmin, after all it was launched 13 months ago! I cant sell it on ebay because the new owner will think it is faulty and who could blame them, so the money will be taken back. All we can do is continue as unpaid guinea pigs and hope that we'll get a free or substantially reduced 'upgrade' to the next model, not that I'm likely to comply. The thing has limited uses and the battery life is a major asset, in fact the only one. I accept that I cant sell it, so I must either beat it into tiny pieces with a club hammer which would be quite satisfying or as my conscience dictates, gift it to a promising local rider as it is a lot better than nothing. The guy who has my 1000 unit is absolutely delighted (as was I) and has no desire to follow my current 'upgrade' path.
I did a hard reset and the problem was solved although in this step I lost all my VO2Max statistics that was important to me. I am clear that it is my last unit of this brand which is destined to be insignificant in a few years due to the malfunctioning of all its equipment and the nonexistent quality control process that it applies. Brands like Sony, which were world leaders a few years ago, have lost consumer confidence and are now struggling to gain a foothold again. Garmin which is a much less powerful brand than others like HTC or a thousand examples that there is a way for all its customers to comment on how bad the products are and how bad they are. I am sure that I will not buy Garmin again and in all my social networks there are the photos of the edge 1030 with its blue halo so that my followers see the kind of product that is and do not buy it
