Battery Save Mode and Garmin Remote

When using the Garmin Remote in Battery Save Mode, it would be nice for the screen to 'wake up' rather than having to touch the screen. Is there a way to setup the remote todo this ? I currently have the programmable button setup to operate the backlight so when you press the button the backlight comes on but the screen is blank 8-(. Are there any options or maybe a Connect IQ app that fix this ?

Strange, my remote and 1030 work as you require. Remote wakes up 1030 when in batery saving mode with the display off. And not only mine works like that but my two friends' as well. There must be something wrong with either your remote or device itself.

I have the exact same behavior. The remote is not waking up my Edge 830 after battery save mode has kicked in. Kind of annoying but maybe it saves even more battery? Should get changed in an update I suppose.
