Firmware Version 6.00 Where Are You?

I see firmware 6.00 is now available but not coming to my device. Any way to manually update?

Easy:

1) Download the following file: http://gawisp.com/perry/edge/Edge1030_600.gcd
2) Rename the file to GUPDATE.GCD
3) Copy the file to the \Garmin folder on your 1030
4) Upon device restart, the 1030 should install the new firmware

Note: This is for the real 1030, not the Bontrager 1030...

I have the same issue. The 1030 will not receive the update over-the-air? The question is why. As for the file mentioned in the reply, it will not download as a file, it just loads directly into the browser.

Went to the Garmin page and did not find a link to the file. Only links to Garmin Express and system requirements. I guess someone is trying to tell me NOT to download the file! As for the download from your link, I think it has something to do how the file is served up from the server you have it on and the MIME type.
