Fails with the most needed function

So, I guess this is the basic scenario everybody has in these days. A gpx file is stored at my smartphone and I need to move it to my Edge 1030 via bluetooth. And here we go, the most expensive gps device on the market is failing for this basic function COMPLETLY. What are those developers at Garmin do the whole time, seriously? Please tell me how to get a GPX file from Android/iOS to my Edge 1030 via bluetooth - and no, IQ third party software is not an option. This is a fundamental function a should work in a reliable manner out of the box. If Garmin can not fix this, it will definitly be my last Device from Garmin. SO, please tell me how to get a GPX file wto the Edge via Bluetooth!

RWGPS does allow exporting a route as a GPX file. I've done it several times. I just checked and the option is there.
  • cheracogoff only on the web site, which is kind of cumbersome ... I was referring to using their mobile app to export the route and sharing it with GC.

IQ Software is third party software. I would rely on a third party to get updates, bug fixes etc. Also I do not know what they are doing with my data and I do not want to create yet another user account with another party I don't know. The best example is routecourse. I need a user account, I don't know what they are doing with my data (probably selling because developing software and providing server infrastructure is not for free). And gimported from IQ shop does not work in a reliable manner and often fails to connect via bluetooth.

And please explain to me how I should use Garmin Connect - if I have no internet connection - to get a GPX file from my phone to the Edge via bluetooth. I can not find any way of doing so. And for me this is unbelieveable, to miss such a basic function for such an expansive piece of hardware.

I cannot send a segment to the 1030 from my phone. Its says done but nothing has been 'done'. The reason I need to do that is the phone eats/loses segments. I suspect its a write error or bad sector on hdd(?) but I don't know. I did send a segment through Express but it was seen by 1030 as an unrecognised format - hilariously sad as I daren't try that again, cant send it from my phone and the 1030 continues to lose/eat/corrupt them,
