Segment Explore - not signed in

I switched from an 810 to the 1030 and I'd like to use Strava live segments. But when I go to the Segment Explore page it says: " Not signed in. In order to search segments, you must sign in to your Strava account using your Garmin Connect account or the Garmin Connect Mobile App." (see image). However, I am signed in on the app (it says that I'm using Strava segments and there's a "Launch Strava" button which I clicked) and my Strava and Garmin Conect account are connected. What am I doing wrong? I do see a starred segment in the segment list, after I sync the device using Garmin Express.

    Ok after 49 mins on the phone to Garmin support they insisted it was a Strava issue and to contact them, possible I thought but not probable, so further investigation was needed, I unpaired my edge with my S8 and paired with my nexus 5 and all was back working again, so then forced stop connect on my S8 cleared cache and data then uninstalled, reinstalled and can happily report all is back working again. Until the next saga

    Thanks guys, for letting Garmin know this is not only a problem on my 1030. I did what Matt wrote, but now I'm also getting the message that I need a premium account, even though I already have one. Please let me know if one of you has figured out how to solve that. Thx!

  • Same here! Followed the suggested reset/cache/data removal - same thing... I can't say that I am super annoyed as this is something I don't use too often, but just pops into my eyes every time I scroll through the screens. Needless to say I do have Strava premium and needless to say it used to work before. Mobile phone Samsung Note 8. If you need any logs or troubleshooting session - please let me know, happy to help.
    One more thing - the "starred" Strava segments themselves actually work (well, at least most of the time - occasionally I am getting just the green line with the start and the end of the segment, but not real "live" data).

    Well that didn't last long, back to the Strava premium needed message, have those also suffering reported this to Garmin?

    always the same problem for me ... and garmin does not do anything

    I installed version 4.7 of Garmin connect and all is back working again
  • I have the same problem! on the connct App --> option login to strava with google but it does not work

    Same here, premium needed, do have it.....
  • Exactly the same problem here. Doesn't show the segments, it says I'm not signed in in Segment Explore. However in the training tab I see the segments marked as favourite. Garmin, please resolve this as I'm sure this is a structurel issue.
