Segment Explore - not signed in

I switched from an 810 to the 1030 and I'd like to use Strava live segments. But when I go to the Segment Explore page it says: " Not signed in. In order to search segments, you must sign in to your Strava account using your Garmin Connect account or the Garmin Connect Mobile App." (see image). However, I am signed in on the app (it says that I'm using Strava segments and there's a "Launch Strava" button which I clicked) and my Strava and Garmin Conect account are connected. What am I doing wrong? I do see a starred segment in the segment list, after I sync the device using Garmin Express.
  • I have the same problem with my new edge 1030. Anyone have a solution?

Yep, EXACTLY the same problem here.
Great to see this problem was first reported nearly two weeks ago, and not even an acknowledgement from Garmin yet

Really don't know why I've wasted money on this piece of **** - my phone cost less and does WAY more than the Edge 1030...

Very minor step forward with mine today. It now seems to recognise that I'm actually logged into Strava, as it's no longer telling me I need to sign in.

However, it is now telling me I need a Strava Premium account for Live Segments to work. I signed up to Summit over a week ago.
So it looks like I've wasted money on that as well as on the Garmin.

Quite how anyone can produce a product that is so fundamentally full of bugs, charge a premium for the privilege, and fail to respond to any queries is really quite beyond me.
  • Did you get the analysis part of Summit. I think you need that for Segments but I'm not very knowledgeable about Strava accounts

same here saying strava premium needed , i guess thats why my segments have also stopped updating , one thing after another
  • I have not had success in replicating this issue. For those of you reporting the problem please reach out to our support team so that we can investigate. Apologies for the frustration.
