Edge 1030- my experience

I recently bought the Edge 1030 again, hoping that the whole fiasco has been resolved.
Even though there is still quite a bit of negativity around issues like the Edge remote, sudden reboots etc, I have been pretty happy thus far (perhaps due to not owning a remote);

Sensors connected to the cycling computer:
iPhone X
Garmin HR belt
Garmin speed/cadence
Vector 3

Outcome:

I get no dropouts at all. I also get all relevant notifications through my phone and Garmin Connect mobile.
Navigation has been great as well- the E1030 also feels more responsive compared to 6 months ago (when I had issues and sold my unit)
  • Coming from the Edge 305 -> 705 -> 800 -> 810... back to 800 again then back to 810 after the software was fixed it took me a while to get used to the 1030.
    With the 800 series although faster and generally better I was alway missing some functionality I had in the 305 and 705, I got a way from the 810 initially because I couldn't follow courses the way I liked to, bought it again when they reintroduced that.
    So when I got the 1030 I initially thought: "here we go again". But now I now I know that some features are there but presented different and once you know much better and easier to use
    For me it is a rock steady device with ton's of features (also beneath the surface) much better than any other device out there.

    Still, on my which list:

    - Whats app notification, better even the same notification options as the Fenix platform.
    - faster route calculation before you start
