Route mode problem

Hello everyone, I have problem with edge 1030.
Each time I comnect device to computer MTB activity restores Route mode to Cycling road instead of Mountain biking...
How can I fix that?

Unfortunately there is no way how to fix such a small annoying stupidity until Garmin fulfills its duty and repairs that software garbage called firmware for Edge 1030.

Edit:
I forgot to mention that I "enjoyed" the same bug for one year with Edge 820.
