Blutetooth Connection Problem with Android + Edge 1030 Firmware 5.0

Hi,

I have the following problem: I have installed Garmin Connect Mobile on my ZTE Blade A6 (Android Version 7.1.1) and coupled it to my Edge 1030. The process succeeds and its very quickly re-connected, whem I turn BLE off on the device. I usualy turn it off when Iam riding to save energy. Now comes the problem: When I shutdown the Garmin after uploading my ride, next time, turn it on and re-connect my phone, it doesn't work anymore. My phone finds the device but it doesnt couple. Only if I delete the existing Edge 1030 in GC Mobile, and re-doing first installation, it works again. Might it be, that the device forgets PIN or security BLE settings, when restarting. or does it change them? I tried this several times and the problem remains.
Thanks for help

    Ok, nobody seems to help...

Found a possible solution for that:
You dont have to turn off bluetooth on the device. Keep it activated, then re-pairing with the phone is no problem.

    Tested following:
Disconnect bluetooth on android phone, shut down edge, but with blouetooth on -> it was found after reboot.
Disconnected bluetooth from the phone, kept the edge on -> it works.

If turn bluetooth on your garmin off, you have to remove device from garmin connect app and re-do initial coupling process, otherwise it will not find your device again.

Its obvious that the device either forgets security pin and sets new one when turning bluetooth on, or it forgets some important session parameters (i dont know),

My feeling tells me that there is something wrong with the security implementation,
    Cheers

Do you have another phone, perhaps borrow one, that you can test with?
The problem, in your case, seams to be your phone at least I think so.

Ae, sorry, forgot to mention that I tested another android phone (samsung galaxy a3) with (probably) the same GC App version. It was the same problem. Also tried to find the Edge on a bluetooth monitor (showing more parameters), to figure out whats wrong but it seems to be invisible.

Also tried to find it on my Win10 Notebook. No chance.

Is there any encryption used by Garmin or is it a simple pin?
