that is why it has been a good pratice since the edge 1000 release to do a backup of all .fit files before any firmware upgrades..and also after each firmware upgrade to do a master reset and reinstall the backup files havent had a single issue since i started doing this routine back when i got the edge 1000 (have edge 1030 now and havent had a single issue)
Coming from an 810 I backup whenever I remember, usually weekly. I have lost files before outside of firmware updates. I usually do a backup of activities every few days. This time, because I was a day late I lost 2 activities plus changed profiles. It doesn't matter to me this time.....
I had my 1030 (fw 4.01) reset itself after i had saved my ride today but just as it connected to my Iphone 7 on GC app to sync. Also multiple GPS messages 'satellites lost/found'. Does any FW they bang out work......
Put 4.01 on my device. Random shutdowns started. Connection issues still exist. update of Garmin Connect (Android): App says the Edge is connected while on the device itself I see the BT Symbol flashing and the edge is still looking for the phone.Syncing not possible.
