Can't figure out how to get OSM or OpenFiestMap Maps to Edge1030

Hi!

I try to use OpenFietsMap (http://www.openfietsmap.nl/installation) maps on my Edge 1030, I cannot figure out how to make that work.
I already tried (following the instructions):
- Copying the .img file manually to either the internal storage (/garmin) directory, or to /garmin on an freshly formatted SD card
- Installing the map in Basecamp on Windows, and using Basecamp to install the map to either SD or internal memory. Bascamp needs ages to do this, and then concludes that it successfully installed the map on GPS device.

However, in all cases, I cannot find the map after rebooting the 1030. I tried to select it in my profiles (for race bike), but I can only see the Garmin-provided maps.

Am I missing something here? Is there another place where I can choose maps? Or another step I need to take?

Hi!

In your profile (i.e. race bike) select as follows:
- navigation
- map
- map information/select map
Now you should see the OpenFietsMap that you installed
- enable the OFM map and disable the garmin cycle map

(turns out that the maps I downloaded before were considered "corrupt" by the Edge -- however, the ones mentioned on the DC Rainmaker website indeed worked...)
