For your information 1030 micro SD card maximum 32 GB.

Hello to all,

I wanted to download a original Garmin map to my 64 GB micro SD card at my 1030.
In Garmin express I got the error massage max 32 GB micro SD cards supported in the edge 1030.
It is not a big issue but please buy max. 32 GB micro SD cards.

The Garmin support page would seem to indicate otherwise, but I can not think of a real good need for anything more than 32 GB card to put in my Edge.

your info from your link is false. I have had a 64 card inserted when I tried to download a original Garmin map.
A wish for the next FW update of the 1030 supporting more than 32 GB micro SD cards.

How was your 64GB card formatted? It must be formatted to FAT32. 64GB cards do work in the 1030

During installation I have chosen SD card a massage from Garmin was shown in GE maximum micro SD card size 32 GB.
I have tried it with a 64 GB card FAT32.

Did you specify 4K cluster size? That is most likely the problem.

Yes the 64 GB sd Card was formatted in 4 k cluster.
In Garmin express before installation a massage from Garmin was shown:
For installation of this map you need a micro sd card in your 1030 >3 Gb and maximal 32 GB
I think GE has checked yes it is a 64 GB card and the install field was not selectable for me..
