Edge 1030 and vector 2 power meter can't connect

Hello,

I used my vector 2 with my edge 1000 for a while and all worked perfectly.

Now when I start the edge, it connects to the vector and if I go directly it works.

But most of the time I start the edge, I close my garage door, put my helmet ... and then when I start, the edge can't find the vector at all !!

Meantime, I use also my 935 and it still sees the vector and everything works as usual, no disconnection

I tried to connect manually, it just hangs. Tried deactivating and activating it, still can't find it.

Tried deleting it and when I ask the edge to find it it finds it but still doesn't connect to it !!

The only way is to shut down the edge and start it again.

And it does that every single time !!

and it's been doing it for a while so it's not just the last firmware.

Am I the only one ?
  • Maybe you are the only one ;).

I've been using my 1030 with my Vector 2's (I have 2 sets) and absolutely no issues at all. I always turn on my 1030 first. If outside, I wait for the gps to lock, then start riding till I get the Vector calibration prompt. When indoors on my Kickr trainer, I turn on the 1030 and wait till it's ready, then start riding till I get the Vector calibration prompt. Both cases, I do the calibration and start riding. Not a single issue in the months I've had my 1030.
  • OK, maybe it's because I deactivated the prompt for calibration ? But still it's deactivated on my watch also
  • I had trouble getting connected a few times, so now my technique is to "wake up" the power meter by turning the pedals backward for three revolutions, then turn on the Edge 1030. I have Vector 1 on one bike and Vector 2 on the other.
  • The Edge will stop trying to find sensors shortly after the timer is started. You can manually re-trigger the sensor search by pressing the refresh icon in the status bar page. Alternatively, you could simply decrease the amount of time between starting the timer and waking the pedals up (i.e. moving).
  • Yes but in my case, the vector disconnect from the edge even before the timer is started. (in my fisrt post, when I say "I start the edge" I mean: I power it on.)
