Pairing Trek DuoTrap speed & cadence sensor

Hi,

I paired speed/cadence sensor in my Garmin 1030.

How to see the speed from sensor (not from GPS)?
When I'm moving a crank I see the cadence is changing on the screen, but not speed.

I guess speed comes from GPS and it's the reason, but ... how to configure it to show speed from sensor?

Here are screenshots how it looks like:

  • Do you have the magnet properly installed on the DuoTrap sensor ? This is easy to check. The RED led should blink if you turn the wheel (do not turn the crank so that the cadence sensor wakes up).

Lift the rear wheel in the air and spin it by hand and look at you DuoTrap sensor. Also check that the magnet is properly aligned.
  • Have you set the wheel size? If not then the unit will use GPS data until it has determined the wheel size. This requires riding around 1 KM in a reasonable straight line.

The magnet was not properly aligned - now everything works. Thanks for your help! :)
