And so it begins again, another Garmin product another headache. Can somebody just tell me how i plug the thing in and get it to show up on finder or Garmin express please.
Thanks for the reply, I have tried all of the steps on that page. All that happened was at some point in the process it decided that it didn't like my phone anymore either. It took more than an hour to work that one out. As of this moment it won't connect to the computer and I have no idea about if it ever will. Also whenever i try and set it up using the phone, if you connect to a wifi network it just turns off and resets. I just don't like or trust Garmin any more. Every bit of kit I have bought from them has been an absolute nightmare. As i said in another post unfortunately we bought into Garmin stuff ( my son and I) as a suite and have the scale and edges etc. Every single item with the exception of my sons 520 has been an utter croc. The ultimate irony is that none of them actually communicate the fitness data from device to device!!!!
So I tried buying an apple USB only dongle, and it seems to work. Fingers crossed. Now just need to find some maps, as Garmin doesn't seem to regard Mexico as being in North America.
I tried all that nonsense many times over on my MacBook and it would not work. Twice I saw the device screen in some kind of boot loop. It would show the usual start-up screen sequence but the instant the charge indicator icon and charge percentage appeared, it would disappear (it was just a brief flash), reset and start all over, leading to that brief flash, over and over again.
Connecting it to my desktop Mac (one of the “trash can” Mac Pros) it was recognized the first time.
