Do you have similar problem?
Hard to believe
70km in 3 hours and four days to recover?
Every time you pass 5.0 in anaerobic or aerobic effect I win a 4 days rest.

Same here. I did a 25 mile mountain bike ride and it told me 4 days to recover. I could have sworn that type of ride would have previously told me a day or so. I did hit zone 5 a few few times in the ride. I might try a test and just hit zone 5 then stop the activity and see.
  • Yes!!! 1 hours mtb ride yesterday width 4,9 anaerobic, results in 4 days...........!

You probably set wrong values for heart rate or power.
  • I have the same effect with power.
And sometime recovery is not the same on 1030 and Fenix (with same power and Fc values)
  • The same for me. I did a 140 km ride with avg 130Hr with no Z4 and it gave me only 24 hours. I needed 2-3 days rest. Another day I did 1.30' ride with avg 130Hr and only 30 min in low Z4 and it gave me 4 days. I only need 24 hours rest.
    No powermeter.
This is no help at all.

    70 km, 3 hour, 28 km/h ... it's good load.

3hr for 70km gives 23km/h not 28. 23 pace is just a winter touring pace.
3% in zone 5 11% in zone 4, do not explain a 4 days recovery.
With the 820 I would get around 15 to 20hr.

  • The recovery is a learnt metric and will change based on ride history. If the unit gets reset for any reason that learnt history is cleared and it can take around 7 activities or so to get reasonable looking numbers.

Any chance that your unit may have gotten reset?
  • That is what I'm wondering. Production builds should not, but a beta build might. If the numbers look like they used to after a few more rides then this was likely the cause.

This is good information. I was on a brand new device, so that explains it for me!

No reset in the last month. 20 activities in the last 4 weeks. My feeling.. it did not improved with the last two releases. The recovery time is twice the time given by the 820. I Did update to 3.58 and 3.60, but they did not reset the unit, the langage did not reset to english...
  • I saw the same thing at first and remembered that the recovery times and the aerobic and anaerobic values were kind of wacked before I had enough rides when I first got my unit. I did lose all my settings because I went from 3.58 -> 3.60 -> 3.58 -> 3.6. I wanted to see if I could go back and forth and that works fine but I lost all my settings when going backwards. I won't play that game again. However, after numerous rides my recovery times are looking more normal.
