I noticed 2 problems with virtual partner in different situations: 1/when I race against a previous activity, the vitual partner (set to 100%) takes the elapsed time with stops an not only the riding time ; Is it normal ? 2/When I race against an average speed, the distance ahead and time ahead are wrong : I noticed that with my average speed : At a moment It was the same speed than the VP and the time and distance ahead should have been at 0 or very close to 0 but It was not. Do you think a firmware update could change that ?
To your first point, I believe this is correct behavior. When it comes to “competition,” total time must be used, not just time while moving. Same goes for things like Strava segment rankings, PRs and KOMs / QOMs.
Thank you for your answer VeloManR. For my second point, may be I was not very clear : I fact If I ride at 25 km/h and If the Virtual Partner is set to 25 km/h the time and the distance ahead which should have been at 0, are not. I think It is an issue ?
