Edge 1030 & SRAM RED eTAP - show me the batteries!!!

I just had a new bike built. Part of the build included the Edge 1030 and the latest SRAM RED eTAP.

The Edge 1030 sees the SRAM and if I go into the sensor I can manually click through to see the status of all four of the batteries. This is good.

I contacted Garmin support and they simply could not explain why the Edge can't display more than one battery.

Using Google I was able to figure out that the battery shown is evidently the weakest of the four batteries, but one should be able to display the status of all four batteries on the Edge. When I suggested such I was told to contact SRAM??? This is nuts.

Can we have the number of gear changes made during a session with the Etap?
I seem to have seen a graph with garmin connect.

Thanks for the link Di2. Why GARMIN does not do the same thing? It's super interesting.

Are you able to still see the individual batteries since upgrading to 6.0? I WAS able to see the individual batteries when I went into sensor details, but since the upgrade I no longer can.

I was able to reduce this issue and have raised a ticket with Garmin.

For about $40 you can buy peace of mind and carry a spare eTAP d'r battery.

So I contacted SRAM about this issue and they were a lot more up front about finding a resolution. :D I wish that Garmin had this attitude instead of telling me talk to SRAM. :confused: The Garmin can see all of four of the SRAM RED eTAP batteries. Garmin just refuses to let us display them individually.

Does Sram offer a headunit themselves that can show the status of all of the batteries of their Etap system?

No, and I think that this has to be fixed.

Both 7.00 and 7.07 FW are still missing the individual battery details when viewing sensor details...

I'm able to access the individual battery status for each eTap component under the about option for sensor details. Is your set up a single ring on the front?

Ok, I've sorted out what the problem was. Even after the 1030 sees the shifting sensor, it still only shows "---" for the battery status for each component - FD, RD, LH shifter, RH shifter - *until* the component is operated. After that, the individual battery statuses can be seen.
