UT 800 light rattles on 1030 mount

When my UT 800 light is attached to the bottom of the 1030 mount there is a bit of play there which means the light rattles.
The older but slightly shorter mount which came with the light does not have this problem
Is the underside of the new mount only designed for the battery pack and is there a compatible longer 1030 mount available for my light?

We have made changes to the mount to resolve this issue. Please reach out to our support team for a replacement mount if you are having this issue.

Hi,

just received my replacement mount. Unfortuntely I had to send in my old mount in order to receive the replacement I was not able to compare.

could someone please post pictures of the ‘old’ mount so we can see what has changed.

Hi Shawn,

As you can see in my previous post I received the replacement, but for the life in me I cannot find it different in any way to the previous version.

Could you please shed some light on this, as at this point I am not at all confident I received the 'updated' design one.

I have been in contact with both my local dealer, who I received the replacement from, and the UK support desk, who both are not aware of the new design and cannot help to figure out whether I received the correct mount. They are just saying ' we ordered a replacement' and if there was a -redesign then that should be it. I mean they have the same serial number, so how is anyone supposed to get around this?

Can you please help.

Garmin shipped me a new out front mount on June 13. How can I tell if I have the redesigned one?

Hey, have you gotten anywhere in distinguishing between the older and newer version of the mount?

Look at the photos you uploaded, the same shape as the old ones, maybe different sizes

In March this year, I bought three, from you upload three photos to compare, looks exactly the same, I do not see any difference

I have no idea, this takes time..... The 'old' mount worked fine for a few months and then it started 'loosening'...

I also now got a hold of another 'old style' mount to compare, they look completely identical, I have also weighted them and they are exactly the same weight, 17g. I can only conclude the replacement sent is still an 'older' version mount.

I am at the end of my rope with this, can someone from Garmin please step up and let us know what we have to do in order to get an updated mount.

My local dealer in Cyprus has no idea about mounts, updates etc, and is not willing to help in anyway, also the UK support I have done online chat with have no idea about an updated design of the mount and say they cannot help.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
