3.4 forgets Di2 rear gear preset

Nice to see a load of new presets in the di2 gear setup menu, however since moving to 3.40, my edge is forgetting the rear gear information, I set it to 11-32T, but when I ride the next day it will have reset to 11-28T and I have to remember to set it back to 11-32T, this happens every ride. Anyone else having this issue? I'm running EW-WU111, BT-DN110 and EW-RS910
  • You now need to set the gears in the Shimano phone app. The Di2 system will then send them to Edge.
  • Just got the gadget to allow Di2 pairing and noticed those presets at least in the 935 Di2 sensor entry. Will have to look some more.

    When I opened up the FIT file (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/2137232727 - only used a 935 this time) noticed the gear I used was recorded for every timestamp. I see the 935 activity summary also gives front and read shift counts - way more than imagined although I was testing syncho shifting which also got enabled. Not sure on that - dropped chain twice!

    Anyway GC does not seem to show any of this stuff so what software is suggested to analyse it? I am thinking would like to know time in each gear, avg power, cadence, HR in each one etc etc.

    Does the Shimano eTube iOS app allow for full config? I wanted to try and adjust the tipping point for the front shifts. My LBS showed me something PC based that seemed to do it but did not note what it was and could not obviously see the same thing on the app.

    Thanks. I mean at moment if I shift up (so bigger gear) in the little ring it seems to take me to the big ring without using the 11/12/13 sprockets on an 11-25 block. Fine not to use the 11 and maybe not even the 12 but the 13 ought to OK and sometimes I feel I would rather stay in the same front ring if just was wanting to go up and down one for say a slight gradient change.

    Maybe it shows I might be better without it but thought would try all the options since I now have it to be better informed of the pros and cons.
  • Starting from the bike frame and moving outwards the position index used at the front is 1 then 2. At the rear it goes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11.

    The syncroshift will prevent you using the front position 1 with rear position 11. You should be able to use positions 9 and 10.

    The PC e-tube app will let you configure that. I'm sure the phone does allow that as well. Next time I'm near my bike I will take a look.
  • So when using synchroshift or semi you cannot access 1:11 or 2:1. E.g. no cross chaining.

    You can access 1:9 and 1:10 provided you change the settings using the PC app. I needed to move the cross over in 52T column further down to allow use of position of 9 and 10.

    It does not look like the phone app gives you access to this.

    I have the same problem but there is no way to fix it because Dura-Ace does not support 11/32 so you can not set it on E-tube, only Ultegra supports 11/32, we will have to resign it at each output.
