  • What version of GCM are you using and is it the latest? Checking your Bluetooth settings do you have 2 connections present?

Yes...mine is doing the same. There are two BT connections, but the BLE connection won't stay active.

I was hoping that the 3.2 update would fix this but so far it hasn't.

Wi-Fi sync appears to be working now after the update (mine didn't with the 2.3 firmware).

Also, like mentioned elsewhere, the 3.2 update removed my previous bike settings and sensor names.

So a few little issues still, but overall I'm enjoying the unit.

I had the same issue with a new Edge 1030 and an iPhone 7 running the latest ios11 beta. The following from the phone connection post above (thank you Raqballl!) worked for me me:

    From Per DCR try this:

For totally re-setting connections on the Edge 1030, be sure to complete the following:

    A) Remove pairing on Edge 1030
    B) Remove BLE pairing on settings on phone
    C) Remove BT pairing on settings on phone
    D) Delete Edge 1030 from Garmin Connect Mobile
    E) Airplane mode on
    F) Kill/close GCM app

    Then start from fresh.

I believe he is referencing iPhone as the Edge will only have one BT connection on Android but I assume the procedure would work on Android as well.
  • Same issue here with a Garmin 1030 and a Samsung G7e. Bluetooth worked fine initially then I upgraded the Garmin software and now no Bluetooth. Starting to wish I hadn't paid ?500 for the privilege of beta testing Garmin flakey products.
  • A three button reset of the Edge 1030 seems to have fixed my issue (hold all three buttons until the device resets and you see the Garmin logo).
