There are no alerts, graphic or text banner, for upcoming shift changes nor is the shift mode option available. Is anyone else experiencing this or has Shimano released an update?
I spoke with Garmin on this and support for that will be in the first update, which they hinted would be very soon. Shimano did also released an update on 2017-09-04 that you will need to use.

What is the source of this information and where is it posted?
The "Chainring shift next" alert has returned but not the flashing vertical bars in the gear display nor the flashing bar under the Gear Combo. Shift mode can now be changed as on the 1000 as well as a data field option and a flashing alert is present.
