Live segments while following a pre-made course.

Is this possible with the 1030, does anyone know? It never has been with the 1000, alas.

Yes, if the course is created on Strava and you use the pre-loaded "Strava Route" app to load the course on to the Edge.

Is that for the Edge 1000 possible too?

Yes, the "Strava Route" app is currently available for the Edge 1030, 1000, 820 and 520.
