Guys PLEASE post up your experiences with the unit! I am incredibly interested in the Edge 1030 and would love to read about your feedback on it when you have them in hand and have put them through their paces!
Most online stores (in the UK) were pre-ordering, with places like Evans saying 7th Sept. Apparently there is a "licensing issue with a 3rd party", and suppliers are not allowed to ship. Expected resolution within the next few days, with shipments expected to (re)start next week. Grrr :(
Annoyingly, here in Aus, there is one place who are taking pre-orders for mid to late October. Another, 31-Oct. I emailed another, and they just said "towards the end of the year". None of which lines up with the Garmin AU site saying 1 to 2 week processing time. No clear picture here, with the only certain is that I won't have it in time for Around the Bay, a 250km ride on 8-Oct..
Well Garmin UK have gone from 'in stock' to just 'available Q3 2017' and there's not even an option to pre-order, which makes me wonder if this licensing issue isn't going to be quite a straightforward as they were hoping.
Still wishing that Wiggle would get pre-orders up, seems odd that they haven't yet when Evans have since Day One.
In the US Bike Tires Direct has them in stock. Mine arrived 8/31. That would indicate that either Best Buy does not have an exclusive or Bike Tires Direct is not following adhering to the allowed ship dates.
My 29Aug2017 order from Garmin UK just went backwards - a few days ago it said shipping 12Sep2017, now it says "Order Processing" and there no shipping date. Another disappointing start to ordering new Garmin kit.:(
